Black thumbs rejoice! Join Valerie Nalls for two one-hour classes covering all the gardening basics, including the questions you are too shy to ask!

Topics include annuals vs perennials vs shrubs, trimming, mulching, feeding, watering, and basic garden design. Learn about growing herbs, vegetables, and container gardens. 

This is a 2 part class, so when you purchase a ticket you are purchasing for both dates.

Nalls is serving as a drop off  point for the Springfield  Chamber of Commerce's annual children's book drive for the month of April. Donate your books - for readers through grade 6 - in the box in the store and they will be distributed to local elementary schools and teachers in need.

Saturday April 16th at 1:00 We are doing a Kids' Gardening 101 workshop. Each participant takes home two plants (to plant at home) and a Melissa & Doug cultivator or trowel.  All ages welcome, targeted at ages 3-10. An adult must accompany children. Buy your tickets here.

 

 Wednesday April 20th 10:00 Miss Sue will be  hosting a storytime that celebrates SPRINGTIME.  This FREE event will focus on children ages 3-6 but  all age groups are welcome to join us. No  registration required, children must be  accompanied by an adult.

 THIS SATURDAY, February 13th at Honest Soul Yoga there will be a Whole30 approved cooking workshop! If you are struggling with making delicious, nutritious meals (and are maybe a little tired of salads) this event is for you! Our Whole30 director Lisa Sierra-Davidson will be teaching us new recipes that are Whole30 approved.

We are doing a Whole30 program with Honest Soul Yoga starting 1/25. Whole30 is a 30 day nutritional program to break your body's sugar cycle. Join us!!  It's not a salesy thing and it's free to join. No dairy, gluten, added sugar, alcohol, other grains, for 30 days. Basically a lot of veggies, meat, fruit, and eggs. Resets your body to not be on such a sugar cycle. Miniature Gardens – Wednesday August 26, 10 a.m. Cost: $30

Create a magical world of tiny plants, gazebos, garden accents, little people, and animals.  We’ll provide a container, plants, and several accent pieces.  Choose from our a la carte selection of miniature items to add more charm to your little garden (additional fees for these items). Children must be accompanied by an adult. Register HERE.

 

Plant a Container – Saturday September 19. 1 p.m.  - 3 p.m. FREE

Need a fresh spot of color on your property? Purchase a new container from our great selection or bring in your own. We'll provide FREE soil, a workspace, cleanup, and expert advice. This month we are focusing on unusual containers - got an unused colander, old boot, or basket? Fill it with a plant for a quirky accent piece in your home!

 

Garden Stories with Miss Sue – Wednesday September 23. 10 a.m. FREE.

Come enjoy a story time that  celebrates CHICKENS.  This event will focus on children ages 3-6 but all age groups are welcome to join us.  Bring your own blanket or lawn chairs as you’ll be on a grass area.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Meet near Penny The Pig’s pen and we’ll walk to the Story Lawn together. No registration required.
