Community

Nalls has been a bedrock of the Franconia area since Beulah Street was a dirt road! We strive to be a good neighbor to those in our community, and provide support so Franconia can continue to grow & thrive.

Are you a local PTA member looking for a donation? A scout leader looking for learning opportunities? Or maybe a local charity looking for gift cards? Contact us using the form below and we’d love to hear you out.

Community at Nalls

Nalls has become a happy place for many members of the community. People don’t just come here to shop, they swing by to take family photos, or paint the animals, or have a picnic among the flowers. We have a Little Free Library on site, so folks can donate & pick up a new book to read and we also have Military Tuesdays each week. Every Tuesday, everyone with a valid military ID can get 10% off anything at Nalls. We also love to hold free community events – visit the What’s New tab of this website to see what is coming up.

Online Community

We are also building a community online! Join our Facebook Group – Budding Gardeners – to get gardening advice & help from us and from your neighbors.

We also have a Nalls Kids Club monthly newsletter with all sorts of crafts & ideas for kids.

We also have a private Nalls Crop Share Crew Facebook Group – that is only available to the members of our Crop Share program.  There, our members share recipes and all sorts of produce/cooking tips.

And follow us on Facebook & Instagram to keep up with everything happening at Nalls.

Community Partners

Nalls is proud to work with Lorton Community Action Center, Rising Hope, and the Koinonia Foundation to provide surplus produce for local families in need. We also occasionally work with the Capital Area Food Bank, Arlington Food Assistance Center, and the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria – all fantastic local charities that could always use your support at the links above.

Through our Share-a-Share program, you can donate fresh produce to our partner, Rising Hope, using the structure of our Crop Share produce subscription box. Donate at the link below.
