Pumpkin Hill has been a Franconia tradition for over 30 years! It’s a FREE fall display area for kids and kids at heart. Climb over the pumpkin fort, dig in the straw, or just gawk at all of the specialty pumpkins on display.
We source pumpkins, squash, gourds, cornstalks, ornamental corn, and straw from local farms all over Virginia, Maryland, & Pennsylvania so we can turn our humble garden center into the ultimate fall wonderland.
Whether you’re looking for gourds for a centerpiece, a 1000 lb prizewinner pumpkin, decor for your porch, or your future Jack-o-Lantern, we have everything you need for an awesome autumn.
In the store there is fresh apple cider, seasonal snacks and candies, and every kind of apple and hard squash imaginable to complete your full fall experience. And while you’re here, check out the Pumpkin Wall for fall-themed family photos!
Amateur and professional photography is allowed at Nalls. However, please be kind to your fellow customers and refrain from monopolizing the space.
We love ’em too, but please, NO DOGS. We have chickens on the property, and they’re not as fond of dogs as we are!

Fall Produce & Treats
When visiting this fall, don’t forget to stop by the shop! We work with several area farms and orchards to bring you the freshest fruits and veggies possible. We strive to only carry the best produce and buy as much local produce as possible. We also carry heirloom produce from local Mennonite farms, and supplement our offerings with more conventionally-grown produce staples like bananas and avocados.
Pick up some classic fall treats — apple cider donuts, pumpkin donuts, kettle corn, pumpkin whoopie pies, apple butter, cider, candy corn, fall flavored ice cream, and more! We also have over 20+ varieties of local apples! And on the way to shop, stop by our famous pumpkin wall for pictures. Don’t forget to tag us in your photos!
Pumpkin IllumiNIGHT
We provide the pumpkins, and you provide the creativity! Take part in a beloved Franconia tradition: carve your own pumpkins at Nalls for FREE and leave them behind to light up Beulah Street in a massive jack-o’-lantern display.
Option 1: Carve at Nalls. Drop by anytime between 11 AM and 4 PM on Saturday to carve your pumpkin(s). We provide the shared kid-safe tools and pumpkins—carve as many as you’d like! Then, drive by after dark on Saturday or Sunday to see them all lit up.
Option 2: Carve at home in advance! On Friday, Oct. 31, stop by Nalls to pick up a pumpkin. Carve it at home (no tools provided from us), and drop it back off at Nalls on Saturday before 4pm.
